BENEFIT HORSE FESTIVAL AT ROCKY RIVER METROPARKS STABLE

Attention horse lovers of all ages!  On Sunday, August 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Valley Riding Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation,  invites you to come to Rocky River Metroparks Stables in the Cleveland Metroparks for a family day of horse activities.  All proceeds of the event support Valley Riding’s therapeutic riding programs for children and adults with special needs.  Parking is available on the stable’s front lawn starting at ll a.m.  Free admission.   $5 parking donation appreciated.

Come early so you will not miss the opening parade at ll:30 a.m. This year’s Grand Marshal, Scooter Pie Pony, will march Valley Riding’s herd of ponies, horses, riders and summer campers to start the festivities.  Activities include horse demonstrations, a demo by Valley Riding’s therapeutic riders, educational tours, $5.00 pony rides (min age 3, maximum weight 160), raffle, barnyard bingo, refreshments, face painting and much more.  The Lake Erie Nature & Science Center and UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Critical Care Transport will provide interactive educational experiences.

Valley Riding provides quality English horseback riding instruction and equine-assisted activities to children and adults to enhance awareness and appreciation of horses in a metropolitan setting.  This benefit is an opportunity to introduce the horses and ponies and Valley Riding’s programs to the surrounding communities.

Rocky River Stables is located at 19901 Puritas Avenue in Rocky River Reservation, at the bottom of Puritas Road Hill in Cleveland, across from Mastick Woods Golf Course.
